Carbon-neutral schools

Ailing school infrastructure across Greece negatively impacts the learning potential of students, as the facilities, equipment and resources lack the capacity to adequately equip new generations of climate-aware European citizens with 21st century skills and competencies.

Our Learning Venture seeks to lay the foundation for the gradual transformation of schools across Greece into carbon-neutral and sustainable havens. To achieve that we will utilise the, yet untapped, collaborative potential of the people who know the schools best; their students, educators, and school administrators.

Our Learning Venture takes a bottom-up approach to widespread creation of Carbon Neutral Schools in Greece.

A youth-driven movement advocating for this change is central to this process. They are key to the implementation of practices from the student body, school administrations, public authorities, and education governing bodies.

We work with youths who advocate for climate justice both at the local as well as EU level and we broker appropriate support from policymakers and decisionmakers.
